This collection addresses the concept of fake news today in a tongue-in-cheek, wink-wink, sort of way.
The brands that are really pushing the envelope now and making bold statements are those that aren't afraid to bring our political discourse into the conversation. The truth becomes a muse itself.   Noah questions what we are doing to our waters, and Diesel even plays into the question of what is real and what is fake with their own counterfeit merchandise.
These posts are imagined social media posts that might accompany this collection in real time on social media, as well as being displayed in billboard like settings for the installation in real life.
Climate Change, Me Too, Inequality- all these concepts are filtered through a social media lens where the truth becomes blurred, but the irony is laid on thick! ;)
This collection finds print and pattern inspiration from the manipulation of text, old fashioned sartorial men's plaids and tartans and photo-real prints
Key details include oversized flag graphic treatments, rubberized matte logo details, interior harness, utility workwear details, high density embroideries and chunky zip teeth and zip pulls
Classic Navy is lifted with teal, bright cyber yellow and plum, while grounded in the core red, white and blue colors
The 5 piece outerwear capsule collection
These tears represent runway and street trends for the new down jacket silhouette, with an oversized, cozy fit.
An updated classic with a twist, the traditional down puffer gets a more sartorial feel on one side with the classic men's plaid and sherpa collar while the reverse is a high-shine, resin coated super lightweight nylon
Subtle details include a "FAKE NEWS IS THE BEST NEWS" print/emboss on the high shine side, wink snaps, knit and woven hanger loops and sherpa material.
As the 90s trends are here to stay the classic anorak silhouette is back with oversized logo hits on the front placket, as taping or as secondary hits on the interior details.
Here, an image documenting the effects of climate change, albeit in a beautiful way, is photo printed on an old-school core nylon fabric.  Tear away vents at the bottom for when the wearer gets overheated open to reveal a trim printed with the phrase "The Planet is Cooling!" and in case the message wasn't clear, the Hilfiger logo appears backwards above a giant wink emoji flag on the back.
Trims include the wink snap, printed twill tape, double dip cord ends, oversized graphic reflective tape flags and chunky white vislon zippers.
Following suit with the 90s trends, grunge and oversized skate and ski jackets become important for menswear in all categories as the lines between performance, street, tailoring and classic menswear become blurred.
Fabrication here is key with 3Layer waterproof breathable fabrics.  The top portion of the body is designed in a cotton/nylon twill with WP coating while the bottom is a brushed wool/poly blend with 3layer coating.  This jacket has a bright color pop fleece lining, an oversized fit, dropped casual shoulder, and low-big neckline. It is tricked out with all manner of interior details including a jacquard logo tape harness, stow-able hood, interior cord adjusters, and secure interior pockets. The placket opens to reveal a printed trim fabric with the phrase "YOUR SEXUAL HARASSMENT IS TURNING ME ON."  All snaps are hidden except the bottom most which is the classic wink snap and  the Interior placket details also include reflective tape flag.
In an age when truth is indiscernible, transparency becomes key.  From all walks of runway we see transparent waterproof fabrics taking center stage.
This coat is fully seam-sealed with an exclusive TH flag designed seam seal tape that becomes visible on the exterior.  Each seam is considered though no functionality forgotten as the upper front and back mesh help aid in breathability.  Welded hems appear as if they've been dipped in rubber.  The large collar and dropped neck open to reveal the stow-able hood.
As this is a limited edition capsule collection, each piece can be tracked and every aspect of the material sourcing and manufacturing down the supply chain made "transparent" to the consumer.  With one scan of the barcode on the oversized care label, one can learn more about the making of this coat.
Workwear and utility inspired vests remain mainstays in the menswear market.  Here, the workwear inspiration is particularly important.
There is an ever widening gap between the 1%ers and the rest of the population and yet, or perhaps because of that, workwear has inspired so many of the latest luxury collections.  The blue collar worker has become idealized and romanticized.  This piece pokes fun at that particular trend with an embossed lining with a print that reads "WHAT INEQUALITY GAP?" In a further nod to uniforms and construction workers, the collar is a knit baseball collar, "wink" rivets reinforce the classic utility pockets and a reflective flag tape is applied across the chest.
